On July 15, the City released their proposed budget for the 2022-2023 fiscal year. This is not the final budget; City Council still must approve the budget during their budget hearings August 16-18.
Per RECA’s request, City Manager Cronk included a fee variance report starting on page 644 in this year’s budget to highlight any fee that had increased over 10% year over year. You will find the parkland dedication fee on this report, along with a few other development fees. RECA is glad that the City has increased transparency as a result of our advocacy.
There is good news. Many of the development fees did not increase, and some DSD fees even decreased. There are increases in the Fire Department fees, parkland dedication fees (as has been shared in prior communications), transportation fees, and smaller increases in other departments. If you would like to review just the proposed fee schedule for the development departments, you can find them here.
