CodeNext Second Draft Expected September 15
The City recently released an updated CodeNext timeline, which you can view here. According to the timeline, the second draft of the code will be released on Friday, September 15. This CodeNext blog provides a look at some of the changes that can be expected.
According to the timeline, a public engagement process will continue through October 31 and a third draft of the code will be released on Tuesday, November 28. The City Council adoption process is expected to begin in early 2018 with final adoption in February.
RECA to Participate on Evolve Austin Technical Committee
RECA's CodeNext Working Group completed their review of the first draft of the code and will now join a technical committee within the Evolve Austin coalition, which you can read more about here.
